Instructions on the label on the front of the rather sculptural box.

It involves   A Sharp Shake
But actually works rather effectively.
And the container sits firmly on it's base, not taking up much room on your work table.
Inside the pin triangle are lots of 15mm pins.

These were found in an old warehouse and are in excellent vintage condition. 
Made in England, of course.
